Description:
Apollo is a sweet, sweet boy who was living outside of a school. Apollo was consistently seeking attention from the staff/students and attempting to get inside the school. He loves everyone. A student reported that Apollo had been his neighbor’s cat and the neighbor’s landlord would not let him keep him anymore. When it started to get very cold at night, a staff member took Apollo home. Apollo was at her house less than a week so he was not integrated with the dogs and cats in the home, but when he saw them under the bathroom door he did not have a big response - zero hissing or growling. He definitely appeared to have experience around other animals. Apollo is a super confident boy and when he did come out of the bathroom into the bedroom to get a break from the small bathroom area, he showed zero fear. He jumped right up onto the bed and plopped down - no hiding at all. Even when a big unknown dog was let into the room, Apollo gave her one clawless swat on the head as a warning, and then laid right back down, even with the dog still on the bed. He definitely appears to have been an inside cat. Apollo showed no interest in running for doors or escaping the bathroom/bedroom area. He uses the litter box every time and definitely knows the sound of a cat food can opening. Apollo is very social and playful. He purrs and kneads constantly and likes toys. He’s still very kitten-like in his behavior. Occasionally, he can get a little rough when playing just like any kitten and needs gentle reminders not to use his claws/teeth in play.
