It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! THEO RAEKEN (named after a character in TEEN WOLF), his mom NATALIE MARTIN and his 4 siblings (KIRA YUKIMURA - CORA HALE - LIAM DUNBAR and MALIA TATE) were rescued from a backyard. Rescue mama was called that the neighbors were not being kind to the little family. So a trapper went out and trapped the family. Then brought them to our rescue. With all the chaotic rescuing going on in the summer, we were not able to get out kittens into our regular clinic. We were offered a different clinic and we made the appointments. To our dismay 7 of the 18 cats sent to this clinic ended up in the emergency room. THEO RAEKEN was one of the lucky ones that did not have complications. Our little THEO RAEKEN has been through so much tragedy at such a young age. He deserves a wonderful home that will love him and want to give him a TRUE FUREVER home. Let him tell you all about himself! Hi there, I'm THEO RAEKEN. I'm a young soul, bursting with energy and brimming with curiosity. I'm independent, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good petting session. I'm also quite the comedian, often found doing goofy things to make everyone laugh. I'm brave and smart, which means I'm always up for new adventures and learning new tricks. I'm playful and energetic, always ready for a game of chase or hide-and-seek. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends forever. I think I'd make a great addition to any home because I'm friendly, funny, and full of love. THEO RAEKEN is currently at our rescue in Hemet. California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** SEPTEMBER 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue or any PETSMART near you! The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
