Description:

Apricot is an 8 year old orange tabby from Hawaii! She was sadly locked in a dog cage inside of a shelter with very little sunlight and no hope for our adoption. Our incredible veterinarian brought her to San Diego and has been fostering her! Apricot is a special girl and needs a very special home. For one, she has no teeth. She had lived with very painful stomatitis her whole life until our veterinarian removed her teeth. We believe that this chronic pain is a large reason why she can be shy, prefers to be the only animal in the cat, and can get overstimulated very quickly. Apricot randomly will smack you - she'll lure you in with cute little meows and then pow! You just got punched. She needs someone that will work with her, understand that this behavior is fear based, and that she deserves a patient home rather than being euthanized. She is current on all of her medical needs and is healthy. She will remain in foster care given she wants to be a single cat, but we are more than happy to coordinate meet and greets!
