Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Please contact Kristin ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. At nearly 5 months old, 4.8 pounds, Akemi looks bigger in these photos than she really is.Akemi is a cuddler and purrs loudly on a regular basis, however she is a bit shy and is sometimes hard to pick up. She has made great "socialization to humans" strides in her foster home and needs a special person willing to take the time (2-3 weeks) of social training to her new owner, in an enclosed room, like a large bathroom or office. Foster mom will give you tips that work for her!She is very likely part British Shorthair but there is no extra charge for her. She has all or most of the traits: plush fur, stocky build, thick tail and docile personality! Her calico coat pattern is georgeous, with a circular stripe on one side, and soft fur like a rabbit. And striking green eyes!Akemi is playful, having a favorite wand toy. With some extra time, work, and patience with her in the beginning, the payoff will be a wonderful cuddly companion. An adopter who works from home or retired would be a best fit for her. No dogs or kids under 12. Other cats are fineAkemi can be visited in south Ft. Collins. Glad to answer any questions first. Children 12 and over. foster: CP Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
