Description:
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet. Meet Bell Pepper – A Spicy but Sweet Work in Progress! Bell Pepper is a big, beautiful orange-and-white tabby with a heart as soft as his fluffy fur—though he’s still learning that humans can be trusted! This extra-large lad has had a rough start in life, leaving him very scared of people, but with time, patience, and the right treats, he’s slowly discovering that not all humans are bad. While he still prefers to keep his distance, Bell Pepper has started to show his playful side! He can’t resist chasing jingle toys, and if you’re lucky, you might catch him mid-pounce, showing off his sneaky hunter skills. And when it comes to winning his heart? Churu treats are the key! With enough of his favorite snack, he’s even beginning to build trust and allow gentle pets—at his own pace, of course. Bell Pepper still loves gazing out the window, watching the world from the safety of his favorite perch. Whether it’s birds, squirrels, or just leaves rustling in the wind, this quiet pastime brings him comfort in his otherwise cautious world. On top of being a shy guy, Bell Pepper has some mobility issues with his back legs. He gets around just fine, but he’ll appreciate a home with low-entry litter boxes and easy-to-reach cozy spots where he can lounge in peace. He is a little wobbly but that doesn’t stop him from exploring or climbing up to perch to view his kingdom from above. If you have a gentle heart, a patient soul, and a stash of jingle toys and Churu treats, Bell Pepper might just learn to trust you. He’s looking for a forever home that accepts him as he is—shy, spicy, and slowly discovering his sweet side. Are you the one to help this special boy blossom? foster: EC Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.
