Description:
Please contact Kristin ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. Joona is a very sweet, pretty and petite girl that loves to play! She also enjoys naps in the sun and seeks attention by rubbing up on your legs. She plays well with other kitties and adores her brother Pongo. She is gaining lots of confidence in her foster home, but she is ready to have a forever family.Joona was previously identified as having FIP and has completed the medication regimen. She has been closely monitored by our veterinary partner staff (blood tests, weight monitoring, caloric intake, etc) and has been cleared for adoption. We welcome further conversation about the prognosis and future of this cat. Born May 2024.FIP: Feline Infectious Peritonitis: Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a viral disease of cats caused by certain strains of a virus called the feline coronavirus. Most strains of feline coronavirus are found in the gastrointestinal tract and do not cause significant disease. Recently, a very successful treatment regimen has been developed, involving a series of injections over several months' time. Many cats receiving this treatment have gone into remission and are living normal, healthy lives. foster: SS Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.
