Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Please contact Kristin ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. If you're looking for a snuggler, Josie is your gal. Her foster mom wakes up to Josie nestled up next to her (or sometimes wakes up to Josie standing on her chest and staring down at her with those big, beautiful, amber colored eyes like a goofball). She's very playful but not "high needs" in terms of stimulation. She will need to be adopted into a home with at least one other pet (preferably another feline friend) because she gets comfort and necessary stimulation from the presence of her feline siblings. She has only been around dogs in passing (when her foster mom pet sits) and has demonstrated curiosity so she would likely warm up to a canine sibling that respects boundaries and knows how to be gentle with a kitty. She has been handled by supervised children and tolerates it well. Josie came to CO all the way from Tucson, AZ where she was found living off of trash, underweight, sick, missing patches of hair, and scared. She's since made a full recovery and her cute, playful, loving personality has shown through. She's often found bathing in a sun puddle, wrestling the other foster kittens, snuggled up to her foster mom, or looking for a sock or cat toy to practice her hunting skills on. In addition to her big, beautiful eyes she also has 4 cute little white "socks" and a polka dot on her chin. Josie was born in May 2024. Follow Josie's foster mom on Instagram @Kelseysrescuemeowtain Foster: KC Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
