Description:
Please contact Kristin ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. Ted is quite a handsome boy, don’t you agree? He was born feral in Parker and spent the first months of his life living beneath a deck. Luckily, the owner of the property cared for him and his family and contacted Animal Rescue of the Rockies to save him the perils of outdoor life and introduce him to the luxuries of indoor living. Ted is looking for a patient and gentle adopter to help him finalize his transformation into a well-socialized, loving house kitty. At the moment he’s not too fond of being picked up, but he’s young and that could change as he becomes more comfortable with people and his new home. He enjoys rough housing with his feline foster mate and playing with jingle balls. He’d really like his new home to include a pet friend. He has not been tested with dogs, but very much enjoys feline company. Because Ted was born feral, his adopter should initially keep him in a small area with no hiding spots until he feels comfortable and confident in her new space and with her new person/people.Come meet Ted and his sister Daphne at the Aurora PetSmart (5520 S Parker Rd) from 11am-5pm. Children 12 and over. Born in July 2024. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
