Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Please contact Kristin ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. Timothina is named after the resident cat that lives in her foster home - Uncle Timmy. Why? Because Timothina is the shadow of Uncle Timmy. Uncle Timmy is a certified stage 5 spazz. He's kind of like a unicorn - because no one can touch him and rarely will strangers get a glimpse of him. While Timothina is a bit more reserved, she isn't quite as much of a hermit or scaredy-cat as Uncle Timmy. She takes a few days to warm up to new people and at first, she'll probably try to give you a couple sneaky sniffs before trusting you. She does really well in a home with other cats/kittens because she seems to derive some of her confidence from the company of a feline friend or 2. She hasn't had all that much experience with dogs but it's possible she could warm up to a canine sibling if they were on the mellow side. She tolerates supervised children well but certainly gives the "dear in headlights" look if the hands are getting grabby and she's had enough. Timothina came from humble beginnings many miles away in Tucson, AZ where she was found with her siblings at a construction site, scrounging for food, emaciated, and with a deceased mother who was crushed by heavy machinery. With some help from the amazing community and some awesome volunteers, Timothina made her way to CO and received all the medical care, rehabilitation, and socialization that she needed to be ready for her forever home. When Timothina isn't wrestling one of her many siblings, she can be found bathing in the sun, cruising the house for a treat puzzle, or checking out what the people of the house have to eat. Due to some food insecurity that will likely get better with time, Timothina might take a bite of your pizza or perhaps a nibble of unattended taco. Aside from normal kitten antics and nibbling on left out food, Timothina has no other known bad behaviors. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
