Male Cat, Domestic Medium Hair

Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Fat Boy – Like so many others, Fat Boy and another kitty were brought to ARC from what was supposed to be their forever home. After the first week at ARC, Fay Boy relaxed and started to enjoy himself and socialize with the other kitties, staff, volunteers and even strangers. He now enjoys petting and attention from all! Fat Boy is a gentle natured kitty that would love to find a home where he can love and receive love forever! Fat Boy is FIV positive. FIV in cats is like HIV (the human immunodeficiency virus) and causes a feline disease that is like AIDS in humans. Although FIV is like AIDS in humans it is a highly species-specific virus that infects only felines. While there is currently no definitive cure for FIV in felines, with proper care there is no reason a cat infected with FIV cannot live a very normal, healthy life for years -- if managed appropriately. Date of Birth April 2020
