Description:
Howdy, I'm Mittens. I’m a Hemingway polydactyl cat, so I have great big white stompers—Hence my name, Mittens! I’m an attractive boy who was found in a wooded area where I was repeatedly being chased by the community tomcats. As you can imagine, I have had a hard time trusting anyone and like to hide from time-to-time. When I first came to live at Sheltering Hands, I would run and hide if I heard a loud noise or anything I didn't recognize. These days, you can pet me, comb me, and sometimes pick me up, but I will nibble on you when I've had enough. I would be best with an experienced cat person. I have started to play with toys, which is a very good sign, and I’ve made great friends with Mickey. We would like to go home together. Come meet me and my best pal, Mickey—We’d love to go home with you! To schedule a meet/greet with this pawsome kitty, we recommend that you complete a Pre-Adoption Application which is available here: https://www.shelteringhands.org/adoptionapplication. For additional information, email our Adoptions Team at [email protected]. Once applications are approved the Adoptions Team will coordinate the best way for you to get your new furry family member and bring them home.
