Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair

Description:

BODIES OF WATER THEMED KITTEN: Approx. 3 months old / Approx. 3.5 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Harbor! My siblings and I found ourselves at animal control, but fortunately, Mostly Mutts had a foster home for us, so we became part of the MM family. I’ve now taken up residence in the Kitty Room at the shelter, as it is now time to meet my new family! Plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I did great with my siblings before they were adopted. Before moving to the shelter, I was by myself and did just fine. So … as a single kitten or with a kitty friend – I’d likely be content in my new home, as I entertain myself quite well. I may enjoy another kitty in my home, so if you have a nice kitty at home already, let’s meet! / I got along well with the dog in my former foster home. I was a little afraid at first but soon we were touching noses at the gate, and I would even purr. It likely will depend on the dog, but if you have a kitty-friendly doggie at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten, but best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and – of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY INFORMATION: My former foster described me as a ‘friendly and loving kitten’. I’m ‘a total lap kitty - very sweet’. I was the most shy of the three kittens, and when my foster mom would take me to a new room to explore and play, I was always the last one to come out of the carrier and sometimes needed some coaxing. I’ve been through a lot in the weeks I have been in my foster home. I’ve had a shoulder wound that is still healing but am still so sweet and have not lost my spunkiness. I was put under anesthesia when barely one pound, and as soon as my foster picked me up from surgery, I was purring, happy to see her, and my sassiness was back! I’ve bravely put up with a lot of meds and ointments and still loved my foster - despite all the times she had to put a syringe in my mouth or give me a bath. That shows how sweet and resilient I am, don’t cha think? I am ‘small but mighty’ and sure to be a loving and loyal kitty to a lucky family. • SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I absolutely love being held and will purr the entire time you are holding me. Super playful, I’m very interested in toys and wands, so using those would help me feel comfortable in a new environment. Batting small objects, chasing the feather wand, and chasing a ping pong ball - all are my idea of a good time! I’m good at entertaining myself but also love companionship. / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve! • MEDICAL: I’ve started my kitten shots, but you must finish those for me as I grow. I am microchipped. I'm not yet spayed due to my small size, but it is required and will be done as soon as I grow a little more. Mostly Mutts will cover that cost with one of their approved vets in the North Metro Atlanta area, so local adoptions only. I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life! My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
