Description:

A SWEET COMPANION: 1.5 years old / 13 lbs. Hi, I’m Iroquois – my siblings and I came to Mostly Mutts in 2022 at 7 weeks old. We were all adopted, but I recently returned to Mostly Mutts looking for a new furever home. It made me sad to leave my previous home, but I have settled in nicely in a wonderful foster home and am now ready to go to my new furever home! • OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: Obviously, I loved my siblings when I was younger. I’ve not been around other cats in my current foster home, but my foster says my playful demeanor may be well-suited for a feline friend in my new home. If you have a nice kitty at home already, let’s meet. / I was fearful of the dog in my foster home and would not come downstairs if he was out and about. I’ve progressed to being around him cautiously now and have even established some boundaries when he tries to sniff me. My foster feels I would do fine with a kitty-friendly dog if we are introduced slowly and have time to get used to one another. / Older children in my new home may be best, since I am cautious about being petted right now, and older kids would be better at reading my body language – to know when I feel like being petted, and – of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY INFORMATION: Upon returning to Mostly Mutts, I was very afraid when I first arrived in my foster home. However, I trilled when my foster talked to me on the ride home, so I knew we could be friends. After about one week, I started to come out of my shell in my foster home. My foster engages me in play with kitty toys only – not the hand. This is helping me become less hand shy when she wants to pet me. I have a gentle and kind nature, once I know you are my friend. My foster says I am ‘becoming more talkative and more affectionate’, and that I have clearly been loved in the past and am ready to love again. Though not currently a lap kitty, I do have the tendencies, as I make my way to be near my foster and turn on my snuggle bug side. I’m even sleeping with my foster and want to be touching them – even if it is only a paw. Perhaps, there is a lap kitty inside just waiting to come out! I will likely bond with my special person once I am comfortable in my new home. • SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I definitely like – and want – human attention. I’ve done best in my foster home when my foster gives me time and space – approaching me with a welcoming, outstretched hand. Then, I meow and run right to her to get affection – letting out a few purrs of appreciation. I still have a good bit of kitten in me and love to play. In fact, the cat wand was a real ice breaker! I love to wrestle and ‘bunny kick’ my toys – rather clumsily, which makes my foster family laugh! I also love lick sticks. Just put some puree on your finger or on a plate and I am in heaven! / My foster has discovered that – though I am becoming more comfortable with being petted. I don’t like to be touched at the base of my tail. I can’t think of any other dislikes, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve! • MEDICAL: I’m up to date on my shots, microchipped and spayed. I am looking for a loving, furever home with a great family! My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
