She is a petite little thing that looks like a forever kitten. Minerva was rescued by a good samaritan who had seen her raise 2 or 3 litters of kittens on her own outdoors as a stray. When her last amazingly large litter of 8 kittens were born in October, she allowed herself to be caught with the kittens and a foster parent took her in with her litter. All her kittens have found their new homes and it is Minerva's time to find the perfect home for her! She has adapted amazingly to indoor life, so much so she shows no interest in ever going outside again. She has used her litterbox perfectly since day 1 in her foster home. She was very thin after nursing her kittens, but is back up to a healthy weight. She loves food and is finding it rather bothersome she doesn't get to free-feed now that her kittens are gone. She reports she is supposed to be a fat tiny cat, but for her health a portion controlled diet will be best. The instincts of a street cat are still in Minerva and she can startle fairly easily, but she has learned that humans are great. She loves attention from people she knows & trusts and will soak up pets for days. She just likes to go at her own speed with new people and situations. She'd likely do well with slightly older kids, maybe 6+ that can learn to let her approach them versus try to corner her. Minerva has lived with cats and dogs in her foster home. She prefers her space from the cats and dogs, she will hiss if they get right in her face or are too pushy, but she isn't overly stressed or worried by them. She would do best if any canine companion already has some cat manners and doesn't enjoy pestering them. Are you looking for a beautiful, chatty little shadow? Minerva could be the perfect cat for you!
