Description:
Kate was adopted from us in 2016 when she was just a few years old, but unfortunately her owners moved out of state and into a new living situation that prohibits pets. So Kate came back to Safe Haven as a senior cat. We treated her with a much needed "kittie dental" that resulted in all her teeth being pulled. However, she is totally recovered from that, and her oral health is much better now and she eats her senior kibble just fine! It was also discovered that Kate now has a heart murmur, so she is on daily oral medication to help her heart function properly. Luckily this medication is a common human medication (Atenolol) that is very inexpensive, so this shouldn't slow down her adoptability one bit! Since Kate is now a senior girl, she is looking for a quality senior cat home (ie quiet, peaceful, and plenty of relaxing views out windows) and it seems like Kate may be happiest if she was the only kitty in her new home. Since she is currently our oldest resident, she holds a special place in many hearts - so much so that one of our volunteers has sponsored her adoption fee! So all Kate needs now is for a potential adopter to open up their home and heart to let Kate in!
