Male Cat, Domestic Medium Hair

Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Curious King George found himself homeless when his owner moved out. He takes some getting used to due to his big size and even bigger personality. If any one can't have a dog and wants the next best thing, then George is the cat for you. He knows sit, he knows stay and he definitely knows beg. He needs to be an only cat, or only one other house mate, since he did not grow up with other cats or dogs and takes a while to get used to them. He is good with cat friendly dogs. But can be a bit rough for kids so he would be best with older kids only. A few months ago he presented with symptoms of lameness in several of his feet with ulcers forming on the bottoms of his pads. We took him to Crofton Veterinary Center where he was examined and put on medications. His ulcers have healed, his pads look great and he is back to his old self! Except the few pounds his diet has helped him lose. It seems he had a uncommon condition called "plasma cell pododermatitis". Now that he is recovered, he ready to be back on the search for a forever family! Below is info on the condition: http://sydney.edu.au/vetscience/veterinary_services/camden/newsletters/dermatology/2011-Summer.pdf Please make sure you understand our adoption fee and process.
