Female Cat, Domestic Medium Hair
Domestic Medium Hair (Long Coat)
Description:
Reba and her sister Rosie were rescued as young kittens from a feral cat colony. They are sweet and playful, but don't seem to have that crazy kitten energy :) Rosie is more likely to go after toys first, while Reba hangs back and watches before she plays. They would do well together or separately and would probably make a good playmate for another young cat or kitten.Rosie was recently diagnosed with probable stomatitis, which is inflammation of the gums/mouth. The vet believes this is due to a previous viral illness while she was still outside. This condition is NOT contagious, although it does last throughout the cat's lifetime. Rosie may eventually need dental extractions to minimize inflammation and keep her comfortable. Cats with stomatitis live happy, full lives with proper care. Interested in adopting a kitty?!The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which is located on our website at: www.rescueandadopt.org/adopt. Please remember to include:1) Your $15 adoption deposit, which will be subtracted from the adoption fee, if you are approved to adopt.2) Vet records for any current cats or dogs in the home. For cats, we require that they are up to date on their rabies and FVRCP vaccines and seen for an annual wellness exam. For dogs, we require that they are up to date on their rabies vaccine and seen for an annual wellness exam. 3) Permission from your landlord if you rent from a private landlord. We can verify pet policies at apartment complexes. 4) Proof of home ownership if you do NOT live in Maryland.
