Marcel is about 1 1/2 years old. He was rescued outside at an unsafe area. He wasn’t chipped and no owner claimed him. Over the past 6 months, he learned new behaviors and how to like people. He went from being scared and hissing to meowing and purring. Marcel is super loveable and just loves constant attention. He loves to snuggle and gives nose bumps and kisses. He is also very active and playful. He loves to sit on his cat tree and look out windows. In his new home, he would love a big cat tree and lots of toys to play with. He’s still a little afraid of being picked up but loves to sit on your lap. He is also very curious right now so sometimes he does like to jump on things.Marcel is neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. He has had a well visit and was recently treated for ear infection in both ears. He has a slight heart murmur that the vet said could go away with reduced stress. Interested in adopting a kitty?!The first step in the adoption process is the adoption application which is located on our website rescueandadopt.org/adoptOur website includes a lot of info, including a FAQ page with lots of answers.From there if all looks good we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with you and a the adoptable kitty. We are a foster system so we do not have a facility. Visits to meet an adoptable animal at a foster family is by appointment only.If all goes well at the meet and greet, the next step from there would be the home check and adoption visit where we bring the kitty with us to your home to ensure that you have all the basic supplies set up in an isolation/ introduction room. We can also help answer any additional questions you may have at this time. Then we would do the adoption paperwork and finalize the adoption. Adoption fees: $150 for kittens and cats under 5 years old. $125 for cats 5 years old and over. We do offer a 15% discount for adopting 2 ADULT cats (over 1 year old) at once. Please make sure you understand our adoption fee and process. Our Adoption fees are as follows: $100 per each cat or kitten. Each cat or kitten will be up to date on all shots & vetting, and if over 6 months of age will be spayed/neutered before being taken home. For two cats or kittens the adoption fee is a reduced cost of $185. A pet carrier is mandatory for transporting any animal, if you do not have one you may purchase a vet approved cat/kitten carrier from us for $20. Adoption fees are required at the time of adoption and are non-negotiable and non-refundable. First step: Our Adoption Application is located on our website, along with Information about adopting and about us! We will need you to fill out the Adoption Application and submit it, prior to setting a date and time to visit.
