Domestic Short Hair
Description:
This sweet boy was found in awful condition at the Howard County fairgrounds ... anemic, covered in fleas and lice, and overall just feeling miserable. He was diagnosed with stomatitis, an auto-immune condition that causes mouth inflammation, and had all of his teeth extracted. He is doing so much better now, but unfortunately still has flare-ups that require medication and vet visits. Stomatitis is NOT contagious and is thought to be caused by a prior viral illness. Mayor is extremely sweet and demands love and attention. He has been a trooper through all of his medical care. He loves being with other cats. He is looking for a very special adopter who can accomodate his dental condition and keep him in great shape. Please make sure you understand our adoption fee and process. Our Adoption fees are as follows: $100 per each cat or kitten. Each cat or kitten will be up to date on all shots & vetting, and if over 6 months of age will be spayed/neutered before being taken home. For two cats or kittens the adoption fee is a reduced cost of $185. A pet carrier is mandatory for transporting any animal, if you do not have one you may purchase a vet approved cat/kitten carrier from us for $20. Adoption fees are required at the time of adoption and are non-negotiable and non-refundable. First step: Our Adoption Application is located on our website, along with Information about adopting and about us! We will need you to fill out the Adoption Application and submit it, prior to setting a date and time to visit. Our website has lots of information to help potential adopters and pet parents find answers to most any of the questions they may have. Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for caring about the animals! For our Adoption Application & more information visit: http://www.RescueAndAdopt.org/applications
