Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair

Description:

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting. ***** Tortuga is 6-1/2yo, weighs 6-1/2lbs, is intact, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped. Tortuga has free roam of the apartment during the day and likes to sleep in the bedroom with her guardian at night. She dislikes/fears mean or overly eager cats. She doesn't like car rides, so urinates inside the carrier to protest. Tortuga's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: Tortuga's guardian took her in when her neighbor abandoned Tortuga outside, but her apartment lease limits pet ownership to two. Tortuga's guardian states the following regarding children: Although Tortuga hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Haven't seen her around kids, but she's been pretty calm when handled by anyone". Tortuga's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Tortuga has lived with dogs, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "She cuddles and hangs out with the dogs more than other cats". Tortuga's guardian states the following regarding cats: Tortuga lives with cats, so her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "It took her a while to adjust to my cats; usuallty hangs out by herself. She doesn't fight them, but does warn them to leave her alone". Tortuga's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Likes men Likes women Separation anxiety Tortuga's guardian describes her ideal future home: "Ideally a home with another calm/nice cat, an owner who allows her to sleep with him/her, indoors only."
