Description:
Hide and seek enthusiast looking for a quiet home and a lap to call her own! Fluffy is a quiet, sweet mature cat who loves attention from her person. She really enjoys some lap time with her person. She has a gentle meow when looking for you or her food, and a gentle hiss if you pet her in the wrong spot or try to pick her up. She communicates her boundaries well, but without aggression. Chin scratches are her favorite! Although she does tolerate other cats, she would prefer to be the only cat. Dogs make her nervous; she hides when she sees them. Therefore, an ideal home for Fluffy would be a quiet home without young children, dogs or cats. Fluffy is still playful with cat toys, loves catnip and shows affection with lap time and rubbing on your leg. Fluffy loves to follow her human around and watch quietly as you go about your day. She likes to hide in closets but comes out of hiding when you call her name. She loves dry kibble and crunchy treats. She's not a fan of canned food. She's just a very easy going cat who would love to have a person all to herself! Fluffy is being treated for feline coronavirus, but don't worry, this isn't the same as the human kind! This is a very common viral infection that affects the GI tract. Because of this, she is currently on special food. Follow up care with her future adopter's vet may be needed. We know this may sound scary, but it actually is very common! 80-90% of cats are infected with feline coronavirus, they just are never tested or diagnosed! In a normal home environment where there is not a lot of stress, there is low risk for cats 2 years of age to 12 years of age of contracting coronavirus from a carrier cat (assuming they are otherwise healthy with no immune deficiencies.) Cats under 18 months or over 12 years or cats with any disease (renal disease, diabetes, herpes virus carriers, etc.) are at a higher risk if introduced to a coronavirus carrier. Because of this, we recommend adopters with other cats in the home take this into consideration prior to adoption. Fluffy is from a local reservation.
