Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

In honor of football playoffs, we’d like to introduce the newest nose tackle number 23, Mr. Linkin. This orange beast weights in at 23 lbs of mass. He’s able to handle any couch or bed that needs wrangling. No need for a weighted blanket as this guy will gladly fill that role. Don’t look ‘em in his amber eyes, because they’re actually soft and calming. They draw you in where you just can’t help giving a scratch or a hug. Then, BAM, the ref will draw a flag. That’s gonna be a hold or hands to the face in football. That’s his secret weapon. This guy is also surprisingly agile. No worries, if he’s lucky enough to catch an interception, you’ll be saying, “well look at the big guy go.” But in classic “big guy” style his size may be intimating but he has a heart of gold. He’s the first to welcome you. He is soft spoken. He definitely is not the load mouth in the locker room. He uses his locker(litterbox) nicely. Also in big guy fashion, flexibility is slightly limited. He will need some assistance keeping his coat purrfect in some areas. Linkin is a large dude, but super friendly. His previous owner fell on hard times and left him in a place where he would be picked up and be safe. He was found with his teammate Dottie. Him and Dottie are buddies but not bonded. Do you have a warm spot for this defensive lineman? Linkin is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
