Female Cat, Domestic Long Hair
Domestic Long Hair (Long Coat)
Description:
Lily can be sweet and spicy, nice and naughty! She is independent, empowered and liberated; Lily’s not always going to be in control by her human companion. She prefers a hands-off approach. This aloof cat has her own unique way of showing affection that does not include copious touching. Although Lily will choose who she wants to rest by or snuggle with, Lily will come to you. She does not adore long periods of stroking or being fussed with. If Lily’s initial attempts at communicating displeasure are overlooked, she resorts to a blatant approach that can’t be ignored. Lily communicates displeasure with a slap of the paw or a growl, and she gives one warning only! Petting induced aggression seems to happen out of the blue. Be mindful of Lily’s sensitivities and at the first sign of displeasure, let her be and enjoy her beauty as she leisures on the arm of the sofa! Lily is quiet and prefers to nap most of the day or roll around in catnip on the floor! She approves being brushed except for her back end and tail; no petting or touching this area either, otherwise, Lily will run to her human companion if you have a brush in your hand. She is 4 paws on the floor type of kitty so Lily can sashay around the room to show off her long flowing hair! She dislikes brooms but is okay with a vacuum cleaner! Lily’s ideal home is with an individual, couple or family with children 11 years and older; a home that is calm and quiet. It is recommended Lily not be in a home with people that have thin skin due to her tendency to bite and scratch when spooked. She has been around other cats and may benefit having a kitty buddy after a slow introduction. Lily should do okay with a small cat-friendly dog. She is a 4-year-old silver tabby with a long coat and flashes Kelly green eyes. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats.
