Female Cat, Domestic Medium Hair
Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
HISTORY: JESSI was rescued in Texas and transferred to Felines & Friends when found to be FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats, this cat has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households.” According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species. TEMPERAMENT: JESSI is a sweet young adult who would love a second chance at a happy indoor kitty life. She enjoys head rubs, petting, and attention from her caregivers at F&F, but she does not seem to be a big fan of other cats. JESSI is in good health and would fare well in a home where she can be the queen of her castle, keeping someone's lap warm.
