Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair
Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
HISTORY: REYNA was rescued after her Las Vegas home was sold and she was left behind to fend for herself. As is typical with many FIV+ cats, REYNA has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households.” According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species. TEMPERAMENT: This pretty Dilute Tortie is a bit shy but friendly with humans and now ready for a new furever home of her own. We are still learning about her likes and dislikes but REYNA's rescuers report that she has been friendly with both cats and dogs in the past. As an FIV+ kitty, REYNA can live safely with other gentle cats.
