Description:
BONDED PAIR: Fanta is a golden girl who is slowly adjusting from her outdoor stray lifestyle. She will probably initially hide and cry, and food won't motivate her, but when she starts to adjust she wants attention & petting. She will sit on your lap for petting if you pick her up. Definitely a talkative cat like her (maybe) sister Marley. Fanta and Marley get along well; we haven't had a chance to test Fanta with other pets. She hid for the first few days in her foster home, but by day 4 she was out and about. Fanta is a shy girl who will hide if allowed as her first inclination in a new situation. She would do best starting out in a small space (like a bathroom) without hiding places for a few days until she gets to know you a bit. Otherwise, you may not see her for several days before she gains the confidence to come out and say hello and join the family.Marley and Fanta (maybe her sister or mom) are friendly strays that someone decided deserved families rather than living outside, wondering where their next meal was coming from. They love one another, groom one another and snuggle. Marley also provides Fanta with the confirmation that all is well and she is in a safe place. Meet them both at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, during our weekly adoption event from 12-4pm. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
