Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Medium Coat)

Description:

Please contact foster at [email protected] Came from a home of `indoor feral cats`- Needs a person that will enjoy his presense and not force love on him- He does not hiss, tense or flatten his ears when I come in; but if I walk a little too close he immediately runs to his hiding place in a corner behind the pull out bed.- He used a regular litter box with no issues; and is now using a litter robot which he took to right away..- He will tolerate me sitting in the room while he eats, grooms, and even plays a little if I stay in one place and do not make any gestures or movements towards him.- A couple of times he has been brave enough to chase a feather wand toy along the ground and pounce; but I had to move the wand slowly and continually for at least five minutes before he would approach it. We continued until the toy got a little too close to me and he ran.- He has started vocalizing at me often when I'm in the room; but compared to my own cats it sounds more like a warning or annoyance? Not purring or asking for something; but also not hissing or growling.- I installed kitty cams to see how he is when he is alone; which is most of the time with me working. When he is alone he is so energetic and playful! He loves stalking, hiding and tearing up those cheap little felt stuffed mice; so I keep him supplied with those. He has a blanket he loves to roll up and move around all over the room; and one of those large cardboard scratch loungers and a comfy pet bed he naps in.
