Willie the Wonderful is settling in quite nicely! When we first met him, he was in such rough shape, we tried to prepare ourselves for the possibility that he wouldn't make it. But in true PAWS form, Willie has totally thrived! He did have to have his eyeball removed but he's made a full recovery. He can be a little nervous and sometimes startles when we reach in his cage, maybe from all those yucky medicines he used to take. Willie is a shining example that every kitty deserves a loving family. For now, we're honored to be that family!!All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis.
