Description:
Lucy isn't in the CARE foster system. She is listed as a courtesy and CARE isn't responsible for any issues with her or the adoption process.“I'm trying to be patient, but I've been waiting for my own furever home for a very long time. My foster mom tells me how beautiful I am and assures me in 2024 humans are smart and know the myths about black kitties aren't true. I am mature, which means well behaved, and care deeply about those who care for me. Please don't think of me as "less than" because something happened to my eye when I was a baby. It wasn't my fault, just wrestling with littermates. I've seen vets (with my good eye!) and they say there was nothing to be done and I'm fine. It's good that I get to live inside, because my peripheral vision might keep me from seeing someone sneaking up on me from the side. But rest assured, my keen hearing and sense of smell prevail. So let's focus on the beauty, joy and healing I bring! You do know a cat's purrs have a healing vibration that lowers stress for humans, don't you? And an added bonus is that I have a lot to say when I need something. I won't let you forget to top off that already full bowl of food. And if you get too busy to pet or play with me, I'll try to slow you down. Not in a tripping kind of way, just a little meowing. I like my kitty friends and hope you'll have one/some to be my friend(s). There, all my secrets are out. I'd be honored if you'll tell me yours, they are safe with me! Let's at least meet and see if there's magic (that only black kitties can bring)!" Lucy said it all; she gets along with other cats and dogs (with proper introductions) and is easy to have around! Please call 919-935-3792 for more info. Her adoption fee is $100.
