Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Medium Coat)

Description:

Hello! My name is Reader. I am a very special boy with an amazing story. A few months ago I was found in Brady's Run Park. My fur was pretty clean, I looked pretty healthy, and because of the area, the person who found me thinks I was dumped there on purpose. I was brought into the shelter in a little wire crate, frozen and afraid, not sure what was going to happen to me next. Staff sat with me, offered me a yummy snack, and talked to me. They set me up in a cozy cage and waited to see if I was truly an abandoned cat or potentially a true feral cat. I was hissy, I liked to hide, and if they came to close I would swat. One staff member came every day to see me, determined to figure me out and help me adjust. She brought friends with her and soon I had my own little club working every day to warm me up. They brought tasty treats that I simply couldn't resist and cool toys for me to check out. Slowly, day by day, week by week, and now month by month, I have learned to trust my new friends. They would stop in, tell me about their day, and gave me time and space to finally allow pets. My shelter advocates are madly in love with me; they adore my `trills` (the way I chirp/purr in a sing song voice to them), my sassy ways, and my never-ending love for food. My humans here are kind of in a book club in a sense! Reader's Book Club: we have snacks, enjoy each other's company, tell stories, and more. If you are wanting to join Reader's Book club, if you enjoy a good story (mine is a cliff-hanger as of now) and can appreciate the journey I've been on (like every good hero on a quest), and if you dream of helping me find my happily ever after, come meet me today! Reader is looking for a cozy home with a wide book selection and treat assortment, adults only please.
