Update: Through no fault of Bashful, he was returned to us. He spent his six weeks with his adopter scared and hiding and not attended to in any way he needed to feel safe and cared for. Once we were made aware, we went and pulled him out of the drop-ceiling in the basement. He was so scared and yet so happy when he recognized me. We have been working on his confidence and he's mostly back to his happy kitten self. We want to adopt him with another kitten or a home with a resident cat. Bashful needs a cat savvy person to help him blossom. Snow White came to us with week old kittens - Seven of them!! She's an amazing momma in spite of her emaciated and malnourished state! She purrs non-stop and loves petsies and loves to rub you legs and be near you! We're getting loads of nutritious food in her along with probiotics and we're in the process of deworming as that could be another culprit causing her emaciated and malnourished state!
