Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair
Domestic Short Hair / Calico / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
How great would Cardi be in your home? She'd be phenomenal! Cardi is a gentle and calm kitty who is definitely more comfortable keeping her circle of friends small, so life in the shelter where she needs to keep her customer service face on 24/7 just isn't for her. Originally surrendered to the city shelter in 2017 when her first owner fell ill, she was adopted for the last seven years until that owner needed to move back home and out of the country, which would have been too stressful a journey for her to make at this point in her life. Cardi is affectionate but independent, so essentially the perfect companion for anyone that prefers a cat to hang out with but not all over you. She would prefer to be the only pet in her home since that is just the type of lifestyle she is used to, as well as a quieter space without any young kids. Cardi had some recent dental work with us here at PAWS, getting a cleaning and all but 4 of her teeth removed. She also has a low grade heart murmur (Grade 2/6) which doesn't require any treatment or medication, but should be monitored during her regular vet visits.
