Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed

Description:

Vinnie (Vinaigrette) and Salma (Balsamic) are sweet and slightly tangy littermates looking for a quiet home where they can shake, rattle, and roll together. Born with a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), they lack fine motor control, which makes them wobbly but barely slows them down. Though initially shy, this pair is now much more comfortable with people. They love to play and get neck scritches, and though they aren't lap cats, Salma now solicits pets, rubbing up against her fosters' legs, purring loudly. Vinnie is more timid but perks up when he sees them, pushing his neck into their hands for scratches. The kittens have made huge progress. Once in a stable environment together, they should feel safe and settled in no time. Vinnie and Salma's CH is considered moderate. They can walk but are clumsy. When they try to run, coordination escapes them, and though they can shimmy up, they can't jump. They are both smart and have adapted quickly, learning to position themselves for food and drink and to use a low-sided litter box. Carpet, rugs, or yoga mats help them move more easily. Stairs should be avoided. These two could potentially live with other cats after a slow intro, but they will need a home with adults only, or maybe older/teen kids 10+ years old. This shaky little duo will make you laugh and steal your heart. Age: 3 months How I came to PAWS: ACCT Animal ID#: A178936 I am not at the shelter.
