Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Say hello to Basil and Everest – a purrfect pair of kittens that would transform your life and your home! They are not siblings, and while they are available to adopt separately their foster mom thinks they would be most comfortable staying together. Basil (calico female) has one leg that is orange tabby, which may be why Everest (orange tabby male) adopted her as his playmate! Everest is about 7-8 months old (DOB 5/10/24) and super sweet once he knows you! He is playful and friendly, and always happy to see his foster humans. He’s a pretty confident little guy, and loves human attention. Everest is healthy, but has some chronic eye drainage, but he's okay with foster mom washing his face occasionally. Basil is about 9 months old (DOB about 4/1/24). She was found under a Good Samaritan’s porch and appears to be the last surviving member of her litter. Like most calicos, she is quirky. She plays HARD – especially with Everest but also with anything she thinks is a toy - but can be a little jumpy even with people she knows or from loud noises. She doesn’t seek out foster mom’s love often, but clearly loves attention and affection. She will need extra patience and time to blossom in a new home. They are negative for feline leukemia and aids, had all three distemper and the rabies vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and neutered. May be adopted separately or as a pair (discount for two!) Preference will be given to local adopters and to adopters who have a young playmate companion for the kitten. We don’t think either kitten would do well as a solo pet, or that Basil would do well with most dogs.
