Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

Everest is a handsome short-haired orange tabby male about is about 10 months old (DOB 5/10/24). He is a great little guy who gets along well with all the other kitties in his foster home, although he will never be the dominate kitty – he will always take a backseat when playing with others…unless there are treats involved! He isn’t one to come tell you he needs your love, but when you pet him, he is likely to just fall over and show you his belly for rubs! He is playful and curious and loves a good romp through the house with his best buddy Mickey. He recently went on a 2-week trial adoption with Mickey that didn’t work out, but back at his foster home he didn’t miss a beat getting back into the routine. His foster mom loves him very much, but he deserves a home where he can get more time and attention. He needs a playful feline companion (we recommend Mickey!), and would likely be fine with older kids but to our knowledge he has never met a dog. Everest is a healthy boy, but has had some chronic drainage from his right eye. He doesn’t like his face washed daily, but he’s okay with the occasional wipe or finger rub to make him look his best. He's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had all three distemper and the rabies vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and neutered. Preference will be given to local adopters who have a young-ish playmate/companion, as we do not think he will do as a solo pet.
