Description:
HANDSOME MARBLE SWIRLS ON HIS SIDES DOB 7/1/17 Hey there, everyone! I’m Miles, a sweet, friendly, playful Classic brown-tabby fella who loves everybody – hoomans, other kitties, as well as dogs. “Classic tabby” means that I have marble swirls on my sides instead of the typical mackerel tabby stripes, so I’m marked quite unusually and handsomely. A Good Samaritan found me as a friendly stray with a cut on my ear at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land. Since I was very sociable and already neutered, it’s assumed that my family dumped me in the park in hopes that someone would rescue me. This is happening a lot in this inflationary economy because people can’t afford to care of their pets. The Good Samaritan turned to HOPE for help, but since no foster meowmy was available, I was taken to a boarding kennel. The employees have fallen in love with me and bring me up to the front desk to greet the customers. All the noise, barking dogs, and general commotion don’t faze me a bit. When a HOPE volunteer took me to the vet to get updated vaccines, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Who knows how long I'd been homeless, but I probably contracted FIV from a deep bite wound from another cat who attacked me. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as my dental health is routinely monitored and prompt attention is given to any urinary-tract or upper-respiratory infections. I've admittedly had some real setbacks in my life. However, my spirit has never been dampened! I would appreciate a home where I’ll be safe and get lots of attention. I know there’s a home out there where I’ll be cherished for the sweet, playful, and easygoing fella that I am. A family with kids, another cat, or dog to play with would be an added bonus. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who's outgrown the stage of kitten mayhem. I'm much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 24-0803-C096 If you are interested in Miles and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at [email protected] , and a volunteer will get back to you.
