Description:
An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes. Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please! FFGW Adoption Policy is that all kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs. If not part of a bonded pair, you need to have a compatible cat 1 year old or younger already in the family. Niamh is a darling, cuddly, funny, playful kitten who, due to a development issue while in the womb, has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). She cannot stand or walk on her own, though she often gets herself up and takes a few quick steps before falling. Despite being "differently abled", Niamh is incredibly happy and content. She gets around (and is very fast!) by pulling herself along on her side. She adores the ball in track toy and can play with plastic toy springs forever it seems! She will "chase" certain toys - favorites being anything that crinkles. Niamh needs to be propped up to eat, but eats extremely well on her own once supported. She needs a safe place to be (such as a playpen or pack n play) when not out and about with her person , and does not use a liter box yet (but as she grows, we are hoping we can get her used to using one on a schedule, like many CH cats do.) If you have a CH cat or have experience with these extremely special souls, we would love to have you consider becoming this radiant, gorgeous baby's forever family. Niamh is scheduled to be spayed and the surgery will be covered by Feline Foundation at their partner vet.
