Description:
An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes. Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please! Theodore is an adorable young man who lives a simple life: sleep, eat, and get pets. Theo is incredibly affectionate and lives for chin scratches. He is a purring machine and will start to purr as soon as you walk up to him. He spends most of the day doing his own thing, but will wander around occasionally to ask for some attention. And whenever you approach him, he is more than happy to cuddle and hang out with you. The FIV virus is not a reason not to adopt! It is not transmissible to people or to non-cat species and is not a death sentence. It simply reduces a cat's immune system as the cat ages, which can leave the cat more vulnerable to other feline infections later in life. Cat to cat transmission does not occur with casual contact and it is not airborne. Cats who are FIV+ live long, happy lives! Please check out the below informational links about FIV to understand why it is not a reason to shy away from adopting: https://www.fivcats.com/FIV/fiv_introduction.html https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv
