Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)
Description:
Shazam! This is Abracadabra, a gorgeous black cat with personality plus! She has made her way slowly, slowly into the lives of the other cats in her foster home, but it wasn’t an easy transition for her. Based on her reactions to other cats, we think she was probably not well socialized with other cats initially when she was a kitten. She spent three weeks at Petsmart in November, and then needed a break from Petsmart, so has been in her foster home ever since. It has taken her a while to understand how to behave around other cats, to learn that she doesn’t need to smack them when they get close, and that not every cat is out to get her. She has learned to share food, treats, playtime, and personal space with the other foster cats. She loves to be held and carried around like a baby, and would thrive in a home with a young woman willing to cater to her every need. Because of her long-term status, we are willing to sponsor the cost of Abracadabra s adoption, to the right person, and to find the best family we would like to start with an application! PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at [email protected]. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.
