Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair
Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Tabasco and her brothers, Basil and Parsley, were born in a room in a home where the people were not sure what to do when the cat they had rescued actually had kittens! So, they spent the first five months of their lives sequestered in one room. Then they were brought into foster care in Purr-Fect Match. Until her brothers and mother were adopted, Tabasco spent her time in a heated room in a cat-friendly barn. They received good food, attention, and toys, but actual house time waited. After Basil and Parsley were adopted, Tabasco came into the house to begin acclimating. This petite girl is a SPICY one and isn’t afraid to tell anyone who will listen...even those who won't! She is into everything, begins a relationship as a friendly girl, and then may turn into a whirling dervish at a moment's notice. This tendency has lessened since coming into indoor living with a family. So, we are hopeful that in the right circumstances (with parents who understand, love, and humor her) she will blossom. During these past few weeks, some likes and dislikes have been identified. For example, Tabasco does not love dogs...even dogs who are cat-savvy. She will now tolerate most other cats, but has not formed any friendships. As for people, you need to be blessed by her and put on her list! For those she favors (men more than women, but women are not excluded), she will be a lap cat. Go figure!! She sure is a beauty, though!! Tabasco should not go to a home with young children. Nor, into a home where a cat scratch could cause damage. But someone with a sense of humor, patience, and lots of love could win this precious girl's heart.
