She weighs 15 pounds now and is a sweet and loving girl hoping to find her forever home with someone who likes to cuddle as much as she does. Bambi s now spayed, has been treated for parasites and is fully vaccinated. As shown on her vet record, Bambi tested "lightly heartworm" positive and was treated with ProHeart6. Consequently, Bambi is expected to test negative in six months ((May 2025). ProHeart is marketed as a heartworm preventive, commonly used as a very safe and effective off label "slow kill" heartworm treatment. It has worked flawlessly for this rescue. Bambi's adoption fee is a tax deductible donation to the rescue in the amount of $600.
