Nigel (A137197) is a 1-year-old Chow Chow x Lab mix who weighed 53.7 pounds on intake!01/16/25 This loveable guy is Nigel! He arrived at the shelter when placed in the overnight drop-off cages without paperwork. He was left in the same kennel as Marianne with who we suspect are their puppies, Eliza and Donnie, above them. All four have served out their stray holds and are now searching for their new homes! Marianne and Nigel have done well at keeping their kennels cleaned, indicating that they may already be housebroken! They both have had outgoing and friendly personalities at the shelter. Both Marianne and Nigel would benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on their manners. Nigel does have a habit of jumping up on people. Since they did not have the paperwork, we do not know if they have a history of living with children or other animals. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new people and animals. We have noticed some resource guarding tendencies with Nigel during his stay at the shelter, so it may be best to make sure he is fed away from kids and other animals. These two furry pups are eager to find their new homes and people to love! If you are interested in meeting Marianne or Nigel, please let us know!
