German Shepherd Dog / Alaskan Malamute / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Goldie was recently surrendered to the shelter because her owner could no longer care for her. She is a sweet and trusting girlie but may be a little shy when first meeting! She opens up quickly and loves to be called a good girl. Goldie is mostly potty trained but may have accidents if left for too long. She is crate trained and was typically crated when alone because she was destructive towards household items on occasion! It may be beneficial for adopters to continue crate training! Goldie also walks well on a leash and knows the cues âsitâ and âstayâ. Car rides are new to her so she may be hesitant of getting in a car initially but overall does well once loaded up! Goldie is young and playful. She will thrive best with having regular exercise and playtime. She is also a people pleaser and enjoys being loved on. The person who brought Goldie to the shelter was a family member of the owner and they were not 100% sure how Goldie did with other animals. They knew she had a couple dog friends but did not live with other dogs previously. In shelter Goldie has been friendly towards the other dogs and may enjoy a friend. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Goldie did not live with children in her previous home. We encourage adopters to bring their children with them when they come to meet her! Please keep in mind that she may be shy at first and need a moment to warm up. Goldie is such a good girl and deserves to find her forever home!
