Throttle arrived to the shelter as a stray so unfortunately we don’t have much information on his background. Throttle has been friendly, low maintenance and easy going! Throttle enjoys the simple things in life like yummy treats and nice walks. He could be a great match for someone who is looking for a companion that is hoping for calmer days! We do not know if Throttle has lived with children but his finder noted that he growled at their small children, this could have been nothing but nerves at the time - we want to be sure to set Throttle up for success though! Throttle would be most successful in a home without small children, 8 and up for him. Throttle has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter but does not appear to have the desire to play. He would be happiest with a friend that matches his energy. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Throttle has pretty great manners. He appears to be potty trained, walks great on a leash and knows the cues “sit”, “down”, “shake” and “come”. He can become a little nervous in vet type settings and may need a moment to warm up for a future exam! If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Throttle, we encourage you to meet him! He has mastered the puppy dog eyes and is very soulful
