Male Dog, Rottweiler

Rottweiler

Description:

Purebred rottweiler who is between 1-2 years old. Jackson and Reggie were picked up by animal control and after stray hold was up, were both deemed unadoptable due to fear. They were set to be euthanized but we rescued them. They went into foster while waiting to go to our trainer, Dynamic Dog Training AZ. They were VERY bonded, Jackson was VERY co dependent on Reggie. Jackson is now on week 4 of his board and train. Reggie went into his foster home after 3 weeks of training and Jackson's fourth week with his trainer was a test to see if he could be happy without Reggie, and he is. We would love to adopt them togther but both dogs can thrive without eachother now. Jackson has come a long way in his confidence but still needs more time. He is not aggressive, even under stress. He is dog friendly and for him to be his best, he should be adopted into a home with a confident dog that can help teach him the ropes. I do not recommend small kids in his future home. He does not seek affection, would rather not be pet, but in his 4th week with his trainer, he started showing her affection by tapping his nose on her leg or hand. He knows all of his obedience commands, can hold Place command, has learned door safety and is fully e collar trained. His walk is calm and he holds heel position like a champ. He loves his crate so crating should continue. His adoption would require you to go through a free, three hour training session with his trainer in Dewey, AZ to keep improving his confidence, plus purchase his E Collar Technolgoies e collar. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption.please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.
