Description:
**URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPT** **URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPT** THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR TOLLIE'S OWNER. PLEASE CONTACT HER DIRECTLY FOR MORE INFORMATION 503-804-7477 WASHINGTON , DC NEED: ADOPTION NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE Tollie is spayed, heartworm negative, and in good health with recent check-up. Tollie is a giant 6 year old Anatolian Shepherd who needs more attention, play, and space to roam. She absolutely LOVES being around people. She is very loving and playful. She is generally pretty low energy when her "pack" is home. She is well potty trained and even knows sign language to tell you when she needs to go outside and when she is hungry. Tollie’s favorite activities: -Lounging in the center of the house where she can feel close to her people. -Laying outside in a fenced area smelling all the smells of the outdoors. -Playing ‘hide and seek’ and ‘chase’. -Agility training!-Tollie is a great jogging partner. She doesn’t pull on a leash and her trot is quite cute. -Sprinting in circles in the dog park or other open space -Licking frozen lick mats and sniffing out treats from her sniff mat She does not chew on furniture. The only damage she has done is scraping the front door/trim, which can be mitigated by using a plastic door sheet protector and using some white masking tape on surrounding walls/trim. Tollie has experienced a dog attack and this made her reactive toward other dogs when she is on a leash. It is recommended that she takes an extended period of time away from her trigger and so playing with her in a secure backyard with a tall fence is best for her at this time. Tollie needs a family that is not away from the house all day/evening. A family that works from home will be best for her. Tollie has lived with dogs, however needs to be properly introduced. She never initiates aggression when not on leash, but if the other dog becomes aggressive due to Tollie's size/ extreme playfulness, Tollie will also respond with aggression. Tollie should never be left alone with another dog unless the other dog is kenneled. Most important: Tollie needs a family that works from home, has a decent sized backyard .
