Female Dog, German Shepherd Dog
German Shepherd Dog / Mixed
Description:
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. It's almost Valentine's Day! Are you looking for that special someone? Well look no further... here she is. Her name is Sweetie. 4 legs are better than 2. She's probably a much better kisser than any human you'll find too. Ok but really....check this beauty out! Sweetie couldn’t be a more appropriate name for her. She is the sweetest dog who just loves to cuddle and be close to you. She seems to be about a year old and we believe is a German Shepherd mix. She was originally found as a stray with her 2 brothers, and taken in by a good samaritan. She weighs about 65 pounds. She has seen the cats in her foster home and will just look at them. She gets along great with other dogs. She is a very gentle dog and I think would do good with kids of all sizes. She walks fairly well on a leash but could use some more work on it. She likes to sleep in bed but would be just as happy with a couch or dog bed. She is taller than she looks in her pics. She is a very smart dog and is food motivated. Her first day here she would not sit when given the command but by the next morning she would sit on command. She does fairly well with stay also. She is still getting used to having to be on a leash to go outside and having to do her business while on a leash (she previously was in a foster home where the majority of her time was spent outside, so going out on a leash/not in a fenced area is new to her). She has had a few accidents inside but I am sure once she gets used to having to be on a leash while going or in a home that has a fence, the accidents will stop. She's a smart girl, she'll get it! We have tons more pictures of her but can only put 4 on this site. Email us or check us out on facebook to see the other pictures. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. In New England.
