Hi there, my name is Christmas Cookie, but you can just call me Cookie! I’m a sweet, 2-year-old, 60 pound girl with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. My journey hasn’t been the easiest—I was picked up as a stray with my two little puppies. We found ourselves in a shelter, but I did my best to stay calm and positive for my babies. Once my pups were adopted, I finally got a chance to step out of isolation and show the world my warm, affectionate personality. I’m a friendly, adaptable girl who loves meeting new people. Men, women, you name it—I’m happy to greet everyone with soft eyes and wagging tail. I absolutely adore pets and attention, and I’ll happily soak up as much love as you’re willing to give. I’ve met cats before, and while I’m curious about them, I don’t get overly excited—even if they run past me. With some patience and treats, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend. As for other dogs, I enjoy their company and have had fun playing with both males and females in playgroups. I’m pretty easygoing on a leash and rarely pull, even though I haven’t had formal training to heel. Walks are one of my favorite things, and I’d love to explore the world with you by my side. My foster family says I’ve been affectionate and adaptable from the moment I stepped into their home, and I’m already making progress on being introduced to their two cats. I got my name because I’m as sweet as a cookie, and I was rescued on Christmas Eve while my foster mom was baking Christmas cookies—talk about perfect timing!
