Male Dog, Maltese

Maltese / Mixed

Description:

Poor Mochi was neglected severely matted and very dirty at a distant shelter. Shelter had him shaved down by a kind groomer who donated her service. 💜😍 He did get a nick on his tail from shave down. Needed a bandage on his tail. He was badly matted to his skin. Now he feels so much better. Happy and lovable. Mochi has been great with the foster home's 2 dogs cuddly polite friendly and very sweet. He is an absolute love very sweet snuggly polite and affectionate. Mochi loves his healthy foods and cuddling with foster mom. He will rest learn and get healthy and then will get his neuter surgery. More info. to come. Update: Mochi needs a new experienced foster home. He did great at his first temporary foster home with their two dogs. Loved cuddling lounging and quiet home with yard. Now that is feeling better and comfortable... They have biz travels so he was moved to a foster home monday evening in San Francisco with another dog. City life is too noisy and busy for him. High foot traffic on walks. Too much for him while he is adjusting and learning. At first foster home in San Jose with quiet neighborhood and backyard he was calmer and relaxed. Need experienced foster home to guide and train him on walks to not do reactive barking at new dogs. He loves to cuddle and very sweet. Good with her dog at home. 3/30/25 Update: Mochi is now doing better with his SF foster home. Learning. Now house-trained. He is very social and friendly with people and likes playing with other small dogs that he meets. Good with gentle and dog saavy older kids. On walks he is still learning and may do reactive barking at large dogs so he needs a confident and experience handler to train him not to bark at other large dogs on walks. He did reactive barking at his first dog showcase. He needs continued training to not react and ignore as needed or it can get worse if over coddled and not trained. Mochi likes playing with toys and chewing on his bully stick. He would love a home with another dog playmate. He plays and snuggles with foster home's dog.
