Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee: $300 Athena is an extra large Sable girl about 4 to 5 years old. She was found abandoned in a rural area with a bed and bag of dog food. She was taken to a local shelter and pulled into rescue from there. Nothing else is known of her background. Athena is a very large and in charge kind of girl, very typical for a mature female German Shepherd. She knows basic commands, sit, down, here, shake, and seems to be housebroken. She is tolerant of other large dogs but seeks human companionship over the company of other dogs. She could easily be the only dog for most households. Athena likes to play ball and stays fairly close to her person. She readily jumps in the car for rides and has been trustworthy not to chew on anything when left alone. She is a fairly active girl who requires a little exercise each day and settles nicely afterward. Cats and small critters unknown Athena is a level 3 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires.
